On September 9, 2023, Paris police officers responded to a disturbance call at 60 W. Washington St. late Saturday night. The incident involved an intoxicated individual who was causing disruptions in the apartment complex.
At approximately 11:32 PM, officers arrived at the scene and made contact with several residents of the apartment complex who reported an individual, later identified as Kerry Larnez Rollerson of Paris, TX, using profane and abusive language towards neighbors.
Upon noticing the presence of law enforcement, Rollerson fled into his own apartment, forcefully slamming the door shut in an attempt to evade officers. However, his actions did not prevent further disruptions.
Within his apartment, Rollerson engaged in a disturbance with another family member. As a result of his behavior, officers placed him under arrest for Class C Disorderly Conduct.
After being taken into custody, Rollerson attempted to assault one of the officers by head-butting them in the face. The officer managed to subdue Rollerson, who continued to resist arrest. Consequently, Rollerson was charged with Resisting Arrest or Transport, a Class A Misdemeanor.
He was subsequently placed into a jail cell by law enforcement officers, where he remains in custody as legal proceedings unfold.
