On October 3, 2023, Hunt County Sheriff Deputies arrested 48-year-old Chaundra Chantee Wilcox on multiple drug-related charges. Wilcox is facing charges of VOB/POSS MARIJ <=2 OZ DRUG FREE ZONE (Possession of Marijuana, less than or equal to 2 ounces, in a Drug-Free Zone), JO/POSS CS PG 1 <1G DRUG FREE ZONE COCAINE (Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram, in a Drug-Free Zone - Cocaine), JO/POSS CS PG 3 <28G DRUG FREE ZONE (Possession of a Controlled Substance, less than 28 grams, in a Drug-Free Zone), and POSS CS PG 1 >=4G<200G DFZ (Possession of a Controlled Substance, between 4 and 200 grams, in a Drug-Free Zone).
This is not the first time Wilcox has been in trouble with the law. She was previously arrested in June 2023 on similar charges, including PROH SUBSTANCE/ITEM IN CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (Possession of a Prohibited Substance/Item in a Correctional Facility) and TAMPER FABRICATE PHYSICAL EVID W/INTENT TO IMPAIR (Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair).
Wilcox is currently in custody and will be facing legal proceedings for the new charges. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to her arrest.
