On October 29, 2023, an individual entered the Panola County Sheriff's Office lobby seeking a courtesy ride to Tatum, located approximately 16 miles away. During the routine check, it was discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant issued by the Panola County Sheriff's Office. As a result, the individual was taken into custody.
In addition to the arrest, the individual was issued a citation after drug paraphernalia was found on their person. The Panola County Sheriff's Office is currently handling the matter in accordance with the law.
