In a tragic incident on October 27, 2023, at around 5:50 p.m., 47-year-old Kenneth Higdon of Como and/or Canton, Texas lost his life in a single-vehicle accident. Higdon was operating a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle, traveling east on State Highway 11, just west of County Road 2401 when the accident occurred.
According to reports, Higdon failed to maintain a single lane and veered off the roadway. The accident scene was attended by Justice of the Peace Teer, who pronounced Higdon deceased at the scene.
