On October 22, 2021, the Wood County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding criminal mischief on County Road 2163. Sgt. Morrison, from the Sheriff's Office, arrived at the scene to investigate. The victim reported that when they went outside, they discovered that all four tires on their vehicle had been deliberately cut. The victim provided information about a potential suspect.
While Sgt. Morrison was leaving the scene of the previous call, he noticed an individual walking whom he recognized to have an active warrant. Upon approaching the person, the individual attempted to evade law enforcement by fleeing on foot. Sgt. Morrison quickly apprehended the individual, identified as Michael Robbins, who was subsequently taken into custody due to the active warrant.
