On Thursday afternoon, at 4:05 on October 26, 2023, Paris Police officers arrested Octavious Jamal Ewing in response to an assault in the 700 block of S. Main St.
Mr. Ewing is alleged to have assaulted two female family members. Following an investigation, officers concluded that Ewing had repeatedly committed acts of violence against one of the individuals over the past several months. As a result, he has been charged with Continuous Violence Against a Family Member and Assault Causing Bodily Injury to the other victim. The latter victim suffered a head injury when Ewing pushed her down.
Ewing was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Lamar County Jail.
