Princeton Man Arrested for Capital Felony on Murder-for-Hire Plot

On October 16, 2023, Detective Loya of the Princeton Police Department spoke to a complainant who reported a disturbing incident involving a longtime friend. The victim, who had known the suspect, Lucino Galvan-Vega, for approximately a decade, presented evidence of a murder-for-hire solicitation associated with the victim.

The victim showed Detective Loya text messages in which Galvan-Vega had arranged a murder-for-hire contract with an individual involving the victim. Following this alarming revelation, Detective Loya took swift action and obtained a search warrant for Galvan-Vega's phone. During the search, incriminating messages exchanged between the suspect and the hired individual were discovered.

After further investigation, Detective Loya secured a search warrant for Galvan-Vega's residence. Subsequently, an interview with the suspect was conducted to gather additional information, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

On October 25, 2023, Detective Loya apprehended Lucino Galvan-Vega and transported him to the Collin County Jail. He was processed and charged with Solicitation to Commit Capital Murder While Remuneration, a Capital Felony.
