Teen Arrested in Longview Shooting That Left Two Injured

Longview Police Detectives have made an arrest in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on October 11, 2023. An arrest warrant has been issued for Elijah Hicks, an 18-year-old resident of Longview, who has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (F/2). It is worth noting that Hicks was already in Gregg County Jail on unrelated charges.

The incident in question took place on October 11, 2023, at 2:23 a.m. Longview Police Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street in response to a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult female and an adult male who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were subsequently transported to local hospitals by the Longview Fire Department EMS. Their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
