Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Expands Investigation into Alleged Horse Theft and Fraud

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has announced that their investigation into a man accused of fraud and horse theft has now extended its reach across multiple states. At least eleven victims lodged formal complaints against Landen James in a single day, with a total of 20 individuals claiming to be victims of his alleged schemes.

The victims assert that James may have sold the same horse or horses to multiple individuals, collecting payments for the animals without ever delivering them. Captain Marty Hall stated that their team is collaborating closely with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association in order to examine the crimes, which appear to span at least three states.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraudulent activities.
