On Tuesday evening, September 17, 2023, at 4:50 pm, Paris Police officers responded to the 800 block of SW 6th following a reported assault. The victim, who was attacked while asleep, informed the officers that Nathan Crutchfield, a resident of the same address, had assaulted her by covering her mouth and restricting her breathing. The victim sustained minor injuries that were consistent with her account of the incident.
Nathan Crutchfield, who had initially fled the scene, was subsequently located in the vicinity and taken into custody. He has been charged with Assault to a Family Member or Household Member by impeding breath.
