In a startling discovery, Mesquite Police Officers were dispatched to the area near Interstate 20 and Lawson Rd at 05:53 p.m. on October 12, 2023, following the finding of human remains.
The Mesquite Police Department responded to a call from the Seagoville Police Department, who had been conducting a search in a wooded area within the city limits of Mesquite.
The identity of the deceased individual is currently pending confirmation by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office.
