The Rusk County Sheriff's Office conducted an internal investigation that resulted in the arrest of a former employee, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Rhodes. Rhodes has been charged with two felony offenses related to bringing prohibited items into a correctional facility and having an inappropriate relationship with a person in custody.
Rhodes' arrest followed the internal investigation carried out by the Rusk County Sheriff's Office. The charges against her include allegations of bringing prohibited items into a correctional facility and engaging in an inappropriate relationship with an individual in custody. As a result of these charges, Rhodes' bonds have been set at a total of $50,000.
In response to the arrest, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Rhodes has been separated from her employment with the department. As the criminal prosecution is pending, the Sheriff's Office has refrained from releasing any additional information at this time.
