Paris Police Officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of SW 3rd late Wednesday night at 11:55 pm. The incident involved Kendall Price Korpus, who had reportedly entered a room where a sleeping victim was present and threatened her life. Allegedly attempting to access a firearm, Korpus was unsuccessful in his efforts.
Upon arrival, the officers found Korpus inside the residence. Despite their attempts to engage with him, he refused to cooperate, only stating that he lived there and was reading his mail. Korpus exhibited agitation towards both the officers and the victim.
Considering the threats made and the potential for further violence, the police arrested Korpus on charges of terrorist threats against a family member or household. He was taken into custody without incident and booked accordingly.
In response to the incident, the victim requested an Emergency Protective Order to ensure her safety moving forward.
