In a startling incident this Friday morning, a man was injured in the 2000 block of Lamar Avenue when his ex-wife allegedly attempted to run him over with her vehicle. The incident occurred at 8:29 AM.
According to the victim, his ex-wife arrived at his workplace parking lot, seeking a hug. When he refused and asked her to leave, she reportedly drove forward, hitting his shins with the front bumper and running him over. The victim was attempting to take a picture of the situation when the incident occurred.
An officer who arrived at the scene observed the victim's injury but noted the absence of visible signs of blood. It was revealed that the victim's protective order against his ex-wife had expired prior to the incident.
