Brento Kyler Scott Walton

In a late-night incident on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at approximately 10:51 PM, a Paris Police officer initiated a traffic stop in the 3300 block of NE Loop 286 after noticing a vehicle exceeding the speed limit. The situation quickly escalated when the driver of the vehicle attempted to evade the police officer.

The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Brento Kyler Scott Walton, responded to the officer's attempt to stop the vehicle by accelerating and turning off the vehicle's lights. In the process, Walton also tried to exit onto N. Main St. However, the reckless maneuver resulted in a collision with another car, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

After the collision, Walton continued to flee but was eventually apprehended by law enforcement officers in the 2500 block of N. Main. During the arrest, Walton refused to comply with officers' commands and put up resistance.

As a result of this incident, Brento Kyler Scott Walton is now facing multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) with one prior conviction, Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
