A woman is dead following a shooting incident on Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 20. The Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident took place around 1:30 p.m. while both vehicles were traveling eastbound.
Jason Rashad Williams has been charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident. Authorities suspect road rage as the possible motive but continue to investigate. Williams is described as a 46-year-old black male, height of 5'5" and 115 lbs.
The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been disclosed.
