On the afternoon of Friday, September 15th, 2023, Matthew Colvile, a resident of Titus County, initiated a high-speed pursuit involving law enforcement officers from Lamar County. The chase extended through Red River County and eventually into the northern region of Titus County.

Colvile abruptly abandoned a stolen vehicle near his residence on Titus County Road 1925 and continued his attempt to evade capture. Subsequently, he transitioned to a dark-colored side-by-side utility task vehicle (UTV) and disappeared into a vast wooded area, gaining a significant advantage. During the course of the pursuit, Colvile collided with multiple police vehicles in Lamar County, heightening concerns about his dangerous behavior.

As of 11:30 pm on Friday evening, Colvile remains at large, evading authorities. His warrants primarily stem from Titus County, but due to his actions during the chase, law enforcement anticipates he will face numerous felony charges in both Lamar and Titus Counties.

Throughout Friday's search efforts, law enforcement pursued various leads in multiple locations. However, it is widely believed that Colvile continues to remain in the vicinity of his residence. Additionally, Colvile is suspected of possessing at least one firearm, further escalating concerns for public safety.

The Titus County Sheriff's Office urgently urges anyone who encounters Colvile not to approach him and instead report his location immediately. We will provide updates on Colvile's capture, and a comprehensive update is expected early next week.
