On September 9, 2023, a vehicle crash was reported on SH276 near Cr2584 in Royse City. According to a 911 caller, one vehicle had collided with a tree, while another had flipped over.
Responding to the incident were Hunt County Sheriff's Deputy and a DPS Trooper. In addition, emergency services including Union Valley Fire, Caddo Mills Rescue, and AMR Hunt County Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
The situation escalated as one person was ejected from the rollover vehicle, and another became entrapped in the other vehicle. Two helicopters were requested to the scene.
Two victims were transported via air eva to a Level One Trauma Center in Plano. Their condition is not currently known.
