In the early hours of September 3, 2023, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputies swiftly responded to reports of multiple disturbances during an event held at the Hopkins County Civic Center. Upon arrival, a deputy identified and approached Javier Delgado, a 22-year-old resident of Houston, Texas. Delgado's state of intoxication raised concerns about his safety and that of those around him.
Due to the severity of his intoxication, Delgado was taken into custody by the deputies on scene. He was subsequently booked into the Hopkins County Jail on a single charge of Public Intoxication.
