In the early hours of August 29, 2023, at approximately 1:29 am, Paris Police Officers responded to a security check call in the 400 block of NE 10th. The incident involved a reported assault by a family member, resulting in the arrest of Christopher Eric Timer.
According to the victim's account, Timer allegedly assaulted them during a heated altercation. The victim stated that Timer had repeatedly struck them with his fists and even spat on them. Upon arrival at the scene, officers noted visible injuries on the victim that corroborated their statement.
The officers promptly took action and arrested Timer, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. Timer was apprehended without any resistance and taken into custody. He now faces charges for the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
To ensure the safety of the victim, Paris Police Officers also requested an Emergency Protective Order.
