SHERMAN, Texas. A Tennessee man has been indicted on multiple federal child exploitation charges, and investigators believe there may be additional victims across several states, including Texas.
U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs announced that 32-year-old Joseph Dalton Bowman of Nashville, Tennessee, was charged in a three-count federal indictment returned by a grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas.
The indictment charges Bowman with coercion of a minor, production of child sexual abuse material and traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
Bowman appeared before U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant on July 27 and was ordered to remain in federal custody pending further court proceedings.
According to investigators, Bowman may have had contact with minors, either in person or through social media, in numerous cities across the United States. Authorities identified the following locations as areas where potential victims may be located:

Investigators said Bowman allegedly used social media accounts, including one with the username "snapwithdalton," to communicate with minors.
Homeland Security Investigations is asking anyone who believes their child may have had contact with Bowman, either in person or online, to contact the HSI Tipline at 1-877-4-HSI-TIP. Tips may also be submitted through the HSI Online Tip Form or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTipline.
Authorities said law enforcement will take all necessary steps to protect the identities and confidential information of minors.
If convicted, Bowman faces a potential sentence of up to life in federal prison.
The case is being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations' Child Exploitation Group and the Frisco Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Calli Bailey is prosecuting the case.
The investigation remains ongoing.
