Jamarrio Dominique Epps

MARSHALL, Texas — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the early Saturday morning shooting outside a Marshall restaurant that left two people dead and two others injured, according to the Marshall Police Department.

Jamarrio Dominique Epps, 21, of Longview, was arrested and charged with murder. He was taken into custody by the Longview Police Department SWAT team on a Marshall Police Department arrest warrant.

The arrest stems from a shooting that occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. on June 27 outside a Whataburger in Marshall.

Officers responding to reports of gunfire found four people suffering from gunshot wounds in the restaurant's parking lot.

Two victims, 20-year-old James Morrow and 18-year-old Jassiah Hill, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims were transported by Marshall Fire Department paramedics to local hospitals for treatment.

Earlier in the investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Davion McDale Brown, who was charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting.

Marshall Police detectives, along with investigators from the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, continue to investigate the case with assistance from the Harrison County District Attorney's Office, Harrison County Sheriff's Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division, the Texas Rangers, and the Longview Police Department.

Authorities said the investigation remains active, and additional arrests or charges are possible.
