Longview Man Charged With Intoxication Manslaughter After Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash

LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview man has been arrested after a crash Saturday evening claimed the life of an SUV driver and injured others, according to the Longview Police Department.

Officers responded at approximately 7:50 p.m. on June 27 to the 2200 block of West Loop 281 following a collision involving two SUVs.

The preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a Jeep crossed the median and collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Police said the Tahoe was occupied by five people. The driver of the Tahoe was killed in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity.

The driver of the Jeep, identified as 45-year-old Casey Evette Johnson of Longview, was arrested at the scene.

Johnson has been charged with Intoxication Manslaughter, a second-degree felony, and Intoxication Assault, a third-degree felony.

The Longview Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash.

Court records show that Johnson has multiple DWI arrests.  In September, 2025, Longview Police officers arrested her Criminal Trespass.  She also resisted arrested and assaulted a police officer.
