Texarkana Business Owner Arrested After Social Media Posts Expose Workplace Assault

Jason Williams

TEXARKANA, TX — A 51-year-old Texarkana business owner is out on a $50,000 bond after a Texarkana Texas Police Department investigation into a workplace assault exposed a broader pattern of alleged predatory behavior targeting young female employees.

Jason Williams was captured during a traffic stop on Friday afternoon, June 5, 2026. He faces a charge of Indecent Assault and was booked into the Bi-State Jail before posting bond the following day.

Social Media Outcry Unlocks Hidden Past

The criminal investigation officially kicked off in May 2026, when a teenage girl employed at Williams’s local business reported that her boss had subjected her to aggressive, inappropriate sexual remarks. Following the workplace incident, the victim's parent published the details of the encounter on social media to warn the local community.

The public post quickly became a digital tip hotline. Multiple local women stepped forward in the comment section, stating that they had also experienced or witnessed varying degrees of inappropriate sexual behavior from Williams while working under his management in the past.

Recognizing a potential systemic pattern of workplace exploitation, Texarkana Police Detective Lauren Freeman initiated a comprehensive review, systematically tracking down and interviewing the individuals who had voiced their experiences online.

Forensic Interviews Reveal Physical Assault

During the witness canvassing, an 18-year-old woman came forward to detail a severe physical escalation that had occurred nearly a year prior.

The young woman reported that while she was working for Williams in August 2025, the business owner cornered her, physically grabbed her clothing, and forcibly pulled down her shirt and bra to expose her breast. The employee told investigators that she immediately fought back, sloped Williams across the face, and demanded he stop.

Terrified by the encounter, she reported the assault to several coworkers at the business before quitting her job on the spot. While she chose not to contact law enforcement at the time of the physical assault out of fear or distress, Detective Freeman's targeted outreach provided a secure environment for her to formalize her statement.

Traffic Stop Arrest and High Bond

Armed with the corroborated timeline and physical assault details provided by the former employee, Detective Freeman secured a formal arrest warrant for Indecent Assault.

On Friday afternoon, patrol officers spotted Williams driving in Texarkana, initiated a traffic stop, and served the active warrant without incident. Williams was processed into the Bi-State Jail and remained held until Saturday, June 6, when he successfully posted a $50,000 bond for his pretrial release.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department's investigation remains fluid. Because the social media disclosures indicated multiple potential victims over an extended operational timeline at the business, detectives are continuing to gather evidence to determine if additional formal charges will be brought before a Bowie County grand jury.
