GREENVILLE, Texas — The City of Greenville is inviting the community to celebrate the opening of its new public safety facilities during a special open house hosted by Greenville Fire-Rescue.
Saturday, May 9th From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
The event will give residents a chance to tour the new Fire Administration Building, Training Complex and Emergency Operations Center, all located at 6600 Monty Stratton Parkway, directly across from Greenville High School’s football stadium.
Attendees will also get a close look at what firefighters do through live demonstrations, including rope rescues, live fire training, use of the Jaws of Life and other technical rescue scenarios. Fire engines and equipment will be on display for hands-on viewing.
The open house will feature a Kid Zone for families and provide safety information for the public.
City officials said the event is an opportunity to showcase the new facility and thank residents for their continued support of Greenville Fire-Rescue.
The event is free and open to the public. A backup date of May 16 has been scheduled in case of bad weather.
