Sherman, TX — Two people were arrested Saturday night after gunfire was reported during a confrontation in a Sherman neighborhood.
Sherman Police responded around 8:57 p.m. on March 7 to the 500 block of North Elm Street following reports of shots being fired from a passing vehicle.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle as it was leaving the area.
The vehicle was occupied by 46-year-old Delina Anderson and 47-year-old Jason Anderson.
During the investigation, officers found multiple firearms and open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle.
Detectives determined there had been a gathering in the area when a physical confrontation broke out.
According to investigators, the argument escalated when Delina and Jason Anderson went to their vehicle, retrieved firearms and fired multiple rounds.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Delina Anderson was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Deadly Conduct.
Jason Anderson was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
