Naples Police Makes Major Drug and Gun Bust, Two Arrested

NAPLES, Texas — A nighttime traffic stop by Naples Police officers resulted in the seizure of multiple types of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash, leading to the arrest of two suspects on numerous felony charges.

During the nighttime hours of February 25, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on Daingerfield Street after observing traffic violations.

While investigating, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, police discovered a large quantity of suspected narcotics, including methamphetamine, MDMA/ecstasy, hydrocodone pills, THC oils, and marijuana.

Officers also recovered multiple handguns, several thousand dollars in U.S. currency, and drug distribution items such as packaging bags, digital scales, and other trafficking-related materials.

Police arrested Breanna McLaren and Jerod Hendrix, also known as “JJ,” at the scene. Both suspects face multiple felony drug, weapons, and money laundering charges.

The Naples Police Department credited assistance from the Omaha Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office during the stop and subsequent arrests.

Officials say the case highlights ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking and related criminal activity within the community. The investigation remains ongoing.
