RUSK COUNTY, Texas - On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at 5593 County Road 102 in Overton, Texas.
During the operation, deputies seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, prescription narcotics, marijuana, multiple firearms, a stolen ATV, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with narcotics distribution.
A 45-year-old Overton man, Lane R. Mills, was arrested at the scene and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 (4–200 grams), a first-degree felony.
Bond was set at $100,000 on February 13, 2026, by Rusk County Justice of the Peace Precinct 5.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities say additional charges or arrests may be forthcoming. The suspect is currently being held in the Rusk County Jail.
