SHERMAN, Texas - Sherman police seized approximately 1,800 grams of methamphetamine during a narcotics-related search warrant executed Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the 1000 block of South Walnut Street.
The Sherman Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit carried out the warrant and also recovered marijuana and U.S. currency during the search.
Jermaine Matthews, 49, was arrested and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1-B of 400 grams or more and Possession of Marijuana between four ounces and five pounds in a Drug Free Zone.
Police said the Denison Police Department and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the operation. The investigation remains ongoing.
