Two Arrested in Forney on Florida Murder Warrants After Body Found in West Broward County

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas - Two men have been arrested in Texas on murder warrants out of Florida after a deceased man was discovered inside a vehicle in West Broward County, authorities said.

On February 1, 2026, deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked along the north side of a park in an unincorporated area of West Broward County. A deputy and a Broward County Park Ranger located a green Honda on a grassy area.

As deputies approached the vehicle, they found a deceased male seated in the front passenger seat. Broward County Homicide Detectives responded and launched an investigation.

During the investigation, the United States Marshals Service contacted the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office for assistance locating two suspects believed to be in Kaufman County, Texas. Both had active warrants from Broward County for murder.

On February 11th, Kaufman County investigators, working with Broward County detectives and the U.S. Marshals Service, located the suspects’ vehicle at an apartment complex in Forney, Texas. Investigators observed one suspect enter the vehicle and leave the complex.

Kaufman County investigators and the county’s K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop with assistance from the Forney Police Department and the Kaufman County Constable’s Office. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Trevon Quinones and Jayden DeJesus are charged with murder and tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair. They are being held at the Kaufman County Jail pending extradition to Florida.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
