Four Federal Inmates Indicted in Killing at Beaumont Prison Complex

BEAUMONT, TX — Four federal inmates have been charged with murder in connection with the death of another inmate at the Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont, federal authorities announced.

A federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas returned an indictment this week charging Conrad Edward Nedd, also known as CJ, 41; Jeremy Crow, 32; Ramon James Ybarra, also known as Apache, 35; and Curtis Ray McClendon, 43, with murder.

According to the indictment, the four men were involved in an altercation on November 21, 2025, that resulted in the death of another inmate at the Beaumont prison complex.

If convicted, each defendant faces up to life in federal prison.

The case is being investigated by the FBI and the Bureau of Prisons. Assistant U.S. Attorney John B. Ross is prosecuting the case.
