Two Arrested After Traffic Stop in Grayson County Leads to Meth and Cocaine Seizure

HOWE, Texas - Two people were arrested Thursday evening after a traffic stop in Howe led to the seizure of significant amounts of illegal drugs, according to the Howe Police Department.

On January 29, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Walnut Street in Howe. During the investigation, officers recovered more than two ounces (57 grams) of methamphetamine and approximately 1.4 grams of cocaine.

The driver was identified as 35-year-old Jeffery White of Sherman, Texas. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, more than one gram but less than four grams of cocaine, a third-degree felony.

The passenger, 32-year-old Danielle Moody of Pottsboro, Texas, was also taken into custody. Moody faces charges of Tampering with Evidence, a third-degree felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony.

Police noted that despite cold and icy conditions, officers remain focused on proactive enforcement to keep the community safe and hold offenders accountable.
