Woman Runs Out Backdoor Trying to Flee Deputies Serving Warrants In Tyler County

Amber Boyett

WARREN, Texas - Tyler County deputies arrested a 31-year-old woman Wednesday morning after she fled into a wooded area while deputies attempted to serve felony arrest warrants near Warren, authorities said.

According to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were patrolling the Warren area around 9:30 a.m. Jan. 21 when they stopped at a residence just east of town along FM 1943 to serve felony warrants issued by the Tyler County District Court.

Deputies made contact with Amber Boyett, 31, of Warren, and informed her of the active warrants. Investigators said Boyett then ran out the back door of the residence and fled into a nearby wooded area. After a brief foot pursuit, deputies located and took her into custody.

Boyett was transported to the Tyler County Jail, where she was booked on multiple charges, including felony abandonment or endangerment of a child, felony possession of a controlled substance, assault family violence, and evading arrest with previous convictions.

Justice of the Peace Tina Self set Boyett’s total bond at $105,000.

No injuries were reported during the arrest.
