SHERMAN, TX - On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Sherman Police responded to a reported stabbing in the 800 block of South Walnut Street. Officers found an adult male suffering from multiple serious stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Investigators determined that the stabbing stemmed from an earlier argument between the victim and 30-year-old Adrian Jimenez in the 500 block of South Walnut Street, during which Jimenez displayed a knife. The victim fled the scene, but Jimenez later confronted him again at the 800 block of South Walnut Street and stabbed him before fleeing.
Officers located Jimenez on South Montgomery Street. He was reportedly intoxicated and uncooperative. Jimenez was arrested for Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
Sherman Police thanked the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in locating and apprehending Jimenez.
