POLK COUNTY, TX - What began as a search for a stolen Airstream trailer quickly unraveled into a far broader criminal investigation in the Scenic Loop area of Polk County.
On December 11, 2025, investigators with the Polk County Criminal Investigation Division and Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Lucy Lane after receiving information connected to a previously reported stolen Airstream trailer.
When investigators arrived, they immediately located the trailer and confirmed it was the stolen property they were searching for. As the scene was secured, the investigation took a sharp turn.
Inside the residence, investigators found Ashlie Lichtenwalner in possession of a significant quantity of methamphetamine, packaged in a manner consistent with distribution.
While officers continued clearing the property, they discovered a man later identified as Christopher Smith hiding inside a pickup truck parked in the driveway. The truck was confirmed to be stolen out of Houston. Smith was taken into custody on active local warrants, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice parole warrant, and additional theft-related charges.
As interviews with occupants continued, investigators received information pointing to the presence of more drugs and paraphernalia inside the home. Based on that information, a second search warrant was obtained and executed.
That search led investigators to more than 50 grams of methamphetamine inside a bedroom shared by David Shatley and Lindsey Moore. In a separate bedroom belonging to Raymond Gibson, investigators located a glass pipe containing methamphetamine.
The discoveries did not stop there.
While searching the garage, investigators came across a motorcycle that had been stripped, repainted, and altered, with portions of the frame cut away. The vehicle identification number had been removed, but a detective recalled a Harley-Davidson reported stolen several months earlier that matched the same year, make, and color. Additional identifying characteristics confirmed the motorcycle was, in fact, stolen.
By the end of the operation, multiple arrests had been made, and additional charges were pending.
Those arrested and charged include:
Ashlie Lichtenwalner of Livingston, charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, over 4 grams but under 200 grams of methamphetamine.
Christopher Smith of Livingston, arrested on active local warrants, a parole warrant, and additional theft charges.
Raymond Gibson, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, under one gram.
David Shatley, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, over 4 grams but under 200 grams of methamphetamine.
Warrants are pending for Lindsey Moore on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, over 4 grams but under 200 grams.
