Van Zandt County Deputies Investigate Armed Burglary at Scott's Grocery

Van Zandt County, TX - On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at approximately 5:22 a.m., deputies with the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported burglary at Scott’s Grocery, located at 30707 State Highway 64.

Upon arrival, deputies reviewed interior and exterior surveillance footage. Investigators determined that a vehicle arrived at the business shortly before the burglary occurred. Moments later, three unidentified male suspects, dressed in black clothing and wearing masks, approached from the north side of the parking lot and gained entry into the store.

Inside, the suspects stole multiple cartons of cigarettes and $3,137 in cash. After taking the merchandise and money, the suspects exited the building and were seen fleeing in an unidentified silver four-door vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident and working to identify the suspects.
