Texarkana, AR - A man wanted in connection with an aggravated kidnapping out of Hooks, Texas, was arrested Friday afternoon after a pursuit involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

Around 9:30 a.m., Texarkana Arkansas Police officers were alerted to a BOLO for a vehicle connected to the reported kidnapping. Just after 12:30 p.m., officers spotted the vehicle heading south on Highway 71. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Jason Hosey, pulled into a business in the 6800 block of North Stateline Avenue, but refused officers’ commands and sped away.

Officers chased the vehicle onto Interstate 30. The Arkansas State Police joined the pursuit and brought it to an end using a tactical vehicle intervention in an open field near the 5300 block of Jefferson Avenue. Hosey was taken into custody without further incident, and the female victim inside the vehicle was confirmed safe.

Hosey was booked into the Miller County Detention Center on a charge of felony fleeing by vehicle. The Hooks Police Department is handling the kidnapping case, and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Texarkana police credited the quick coordination between agencies and emphasized their continued commitment to public safety.
