Longview Firefighters Battle Massive Warehouse Blaze on South Green Street

Longview, Texas - Late Sunday night, November 2, 2025, Longview firefighters responded to a large commercial structure fire at 732 S. Green Street.

Crews were dispatched at approximately 11:29 p.m. and arrived to find a vacant warehouse fully involved, with heavy flames and smoke showing through the roof. Battalion Chief 1 quickly confirmed the structure was already collapsing, creating dangerous conditions for firefighters on scene.

Due to the instability of the building, command shifted operations to a defensive strategy and requested a second alarm for additional personnel and equipment. Firefighters used aerial apparatus to knock down the main body of fire while handlines targeted remaining hot spots from outside the structure.

Once the fire was contained, crews conducted a search and confirmed no occupants were inside. The estimated damage to the property is about $72,740. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Longview Fire Department at 903-237-1119 or Gregg County Crime Stoppers at 903-236-7867.

In total, the Longview Fire Department responded with five engines, three ladder trucks, two ambulances, and four support vehicles, totaling 32 personnel. The department extended special thanks to the West Harrison, White Oak, Elderville-Lakeport, and Judson Fire Departments for their assistance during the incident.
