GARLAND, TX – A’Jah Moore, a current graduate student at East Texas A&M University and 2022 alumna, was crowned Miss Dallas 2026 at the recent Miss Dallas/Park Cities Scholarship Organization pageant, a local franchise of the Miss America Organization.
Moore, who earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M), is pursuing a master’s degree in management. She received her crown on September 28 at the Granville Arts Center in Garland, Texas.
Her service initiative, titled “The Purposeful Girl,” focuses on empowering students and families to live purpose-driven lives. Moore also earned the pageant’s Overall Miss Interview Award and tied for the Overall Miss Evening Gown Award.
“Being crowned Miss Dallas 2026 has been a dream come true,” Moore said. “Having the opportunity to stand in a position of leadership, represent my community, and make an impact on the very people who have poured so much into me is truly rewarding and humbling.”
Reflecting on her journey, Moore added, “I competed for this title a year ago and placed as third Runner-Up, and now winning reminds me that God's timing is always perfect. Delay does not mean denial. As Miss Dallas, I plan to partner with as many organizations as possible to ensure students and families have access to the support and resources they need.”
Moore is now eligible to compete in the 2026 Miss Texas pageant, scheduled for June 2026.
