MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - The Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) has arrested Caleb Garcia, 20, of Mount Pleasant, in an ongoing child sexual assault investigation.
MPPD was notified of the sexual assault report on October 18, 2025. Detectives quickly identified Garcia as the suspect, noting that the victim and suspect had initially met through social media.
On October 23, 2025, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Garcia for Sexual Assault of a Child. He was subsequently booked into the Titus County Jail and is currently being held on a no-bond.
The MPPD further noted that Garcia has a history of similar offenses, having been arrested for a prior incident in March 2025 and booked into the Smith County Jail for Sexual Assault of a Child.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case and to protect the victim's privacy, no further details regarding the incident will be released.
