ROWLETT, TX — A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Forney was killed early Sunday morning after a crash on Interstate 30 in Rowlett, according to police.

Around 5:00 a.m. on September 7, 2025, Rowlett Police officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-30 just east of Dalrock Road following reports of a major crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger car.

The motorcyclist, Marcus Davis, was ejected over the concrete guardrail into the eastbound lanes. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said the two occupants of the passenger car fled the scene on foot. With assistance from the Rockwall Police Department’s drone team, officers located them hiding in nearby brush.
