Tyler Man Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Child Pornography Production

Enrique Adrian Gomez

TYLER, TX – A Tyler man, Enrique Adrian Gomez, 29, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for child exploitation violations. U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle handed down the 360-month sentence on July 30, 2025, after Gomez pleaded guilty to production of child pornography.

According to information presented in court, Gomez met two minor victims, both under 13 years old, online in September 2021. He communicated with them through text messaging and social media, and during these real-time online conversations, he persuaded the victims to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions.

Acting U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs emphasized the dangers social media can pose to children. “The ease with which Gomez was able to communicate with the minor victims here is a reminder of the constant threat that social media applications can pose to children,” said Combs. He stressed the importance of parents being active and engaged in monitoring their children's online presence.

The case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security—Homeland Security Investigations and the Ilion, New York Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Austin Wells prosecuted the case.
