PARIS, TX – The Paris Police Department arrested Ethan Ray House, 19, on Monday, August 4, following a disturbance in the 2100 block of E. Cherry. House is facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of Marijuana.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after a victim reported that House had threatened him with a knife. According to the investigation, the victim had gone to House’s residence to speak with his parents about House’s earlier verbal harassment of a family member. When the victim knocked on the door, he was confronted by House, who allegedly grabbed a knife and advanced upon him.
A family member of House's physically restrained him as he attempted to get past them to assault the victim. House confessed to officers that he had attempted to assault the victim with the knife. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
House was charged and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
