TEXARKANA, AR – Two men were arrested for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning after officers witnessed them fighting in a roadway near Hopkins Icehouse.
At approximately 1:39 a.m. on August 3, Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) officers responded to a report of a physical altercation in the 200 block of Wood Street. Upon arrival, they found Jeffery Russett, 39, and Erickson Poyner, 21, actively fighting.
Both men were immediately arrested and transported to the Miller County Detention Center, where they were booked for disorderly conduct without incident. Both individuals declined medical treatment.
The TAPD stated that its officers routinely work extra patrol in the entertainment district and have a "zero tolerance approach to violence." The department remains committed to maintaining public safety and swiftly responding to disturbances.
