Palestine Man Arrested After Firing at Three Women During Domestic Incident

PALESTINE, TX – A 50-year-old man was taken into custody early Monday morning, July 28, 2025, after reportedly firing shots at three women during a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Lowe Street.

Palestine Police Department officers responded to a call about shots fired at approximately 2:38 a.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that three female victims had been shot at after one of them was shoved out of the residence by the suspect.

Officers quickly established a perimeter and attempted to contact the suspect. After multiple attempts, the suspect exited the home and was safely taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect, identified as Floyd Conley Jr., of Palestine, was arrested and transported to the Anderson County Jail. He faces three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence and one count of Deadly Conduct.

A 9mm handgun and several shell casings were recovered at the scene. No injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing.
