PANOLA COUNTY, TX – A multi-warrant suspect, Kobe Holt, was apprehended Wednesday evening, July 23, following a foot pursuit and physical altercation with deputies, which also led to the discovery of stolen property from a vacant residence he allegedly broke into.

Investigator Payne and Sergeant Gillie located Holt, who was a wanted person, at a vacant residence on County Road 104. When confronted, Holt attempted to flee on foot and was physically combative with the deputies. He was taken into custody after a TASER deployment.

A follow-up investigation revealed that Holt had allegedly broken into the residence and had stolen property and criminal instruments stored inside. As a result, Holt was arrested on new charges including Burglary of a Habitation, Resisting Arrest, and Evading Arrest.

He also had active Panola County warrants for:

Holt was medically cleared at UT Health Carthage and subsequently transported to the Detention Center. These cases will be presented to the Criminal District Attorney for further charges.
