On July 3, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Longview Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 306 Lake Lamond, Apartment #55. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from the unit and declared a working fire.
Crews entered the apartment to attack the fire and quickly brought it under control, containing the damage to a single unit. No injuries were reported, and the apartment was unoccupied at the time of the incident. The estimated damage is $50,000.
An investigation determined the fire was intentionally set. During the course of the investigation, 29-year-old Dominique Lamar Terry of Kilgore was identified as a suspect. A warrant was issued, and Terry was arrested and booked into the Gregg County Jail. His bond is set at $100,000.
