On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, a collaborative effort by the Joint Harrison County Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force, HCSO ERT, MPD SRT, and DPS CID led to a significant narcotics arrest and seizure at 980 Acorn Trail in Hallsville.
Authorities executed a search warrant for 56-year-old Mack Andrew Martin, who was wanted on an active Felony 1 narcotics warrant. Upon entry into the residence, Martin was located in the master bedroom, temporarily restrained, and brought outside. When questioned, Martin admitted to having a "few" grams of methamphetamine in a dresser in his bedroom.
A subsequent search warrant for the residence was obtained and signed by District Judge Brad Morin. During the search of a dresser in the master bedroom, investigators discovered drug paraphernalia and 13 grams of a crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine.
Also located on the property was 65-year-old Rocky Julian Morris, who had an active drug paraphernalia warrant.
Martin was transported to the HCSO Main Jail and charged with Man/Del CS PG1 >=4G<200G (Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4 grams to less than 200 grams). Morris was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
