A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night, June 7, 2025, in the 200 block of Melba Street. Longview Police officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:18 p.m., where they found a male victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Isaiah Ross of Longview, was transported to a local hospital by the Longview Fire Department but later succumbed to his injuries.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified 27-year-old Dominique Devine Johnson of Longview as the suspect. An arrest warrant for murder was obtained. Detectives subsequently determined Johnson was in Kilgore, Texas, and collaborated with the Kilgore Police Department to apprehend him without incident.
