A man was found dead Tuesday morning after apparently hanging himself from the metal supports of the Interstate 30 sign structure near Richmond Road, according to the Texarkana Police Department.
Passersby who initially saw the man attempted to get him down but were unable to do so before it was too late. Emergency responders arrived shortly after, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Texarkana Police detectives and crime scene investigators remain on site working to identify the individual and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
